6 Days in Hong Kong
In March 2024, we headed overseas for the first time since the birth of our baby. Travelling with a 4 month old was a completely new experience, but we still managed to squeeze in 6 days to explore Hong Kong on our way to Japan. Here are our top 10 favourite experiences:
3. Harbourfront Promenade Hong Kong Island: Spend a lazy afternoon walking from the Maritime Museum to Causeway Bay, taking in the sights along the harbourfront. Join the crowds of people sitting in the park on a sunny day (most people brought a little tent with them to avoid the sun).
4. Harbour Promenade Tsim Sha Tsui: Explore the promenade area in Tsim Sha Tsui, including the Avenue of Star, K11 Musea, the Hong Kong Museum of Art and Light Show. Bonus: if you have a baby with you, visit the parent’s room in the K11 Musea for first class facilities. Walk a little further into Tsim Sha Tsui and enjoy Kowloon Park and the shops & restaurants along Nathan Road.
7. Explore an old police residence & prison: PMQ old police residence converted into a series of boutique shops and art spaces. Tai Kwun, just down the road from the PMQ is another converted space, this time the actual prison.
8. Kowloon Walled City Park
9. Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple: Taoist temple with various gardens, halls, pavilions, ponds and statues. On the second viewing platform, you will find 12 bronze animals statues, representing each of the Chinese zodiac signs. Near the Temple Mall North.

10. Chi Lin Nunnery & Nan Lian Garden
